Github is a platform for exploring, sharing, and improving code for open source software projects. To participate in NaNoGenMo, you'll need a Github account to create the "issue" post on this year's repository.

First, create an account

It's free.

Next, create an issue

There's no rule against starting your issue now, but technically it isn’t November.

Then, add comments to the issue as you work on your idea throughout the month

Create a new repository for your project

Make sure to edit the README file with an explanation of the idea

Upload your code and at least one sample novel to your repository

Finally, rename the title of your issue to be more specific and add links to your repository and a sample novel
